I remember taking pictures of the Matarazzos when it was just Giovonni, and Stella was in Jana’s belly. I really sucked at taking pictures back then, but I had just picked up the 50mm 1.8 lens and was dying to try it out. When Stella was born, I took a few more in the worst lighting conditions (which I refuse to do now) and they sucked. Then, they had another baby so we did it again — the third time’s the charm, right?
I love this family and this session. Jana did an amazing job picking out the wardrobe and coordinating everyone’s outfits. She went for complementing colors, NOT matchy matchy, and she picked a combo of solids and patterns, but nothing too busy. Don’t they look great?

I want to tell stories about Joe, but I can’t figure out which one to tell . . . there are way too many good ones.

We joke that by the time Brandon and I decide to have kids, they won’t want to hang out with us anymore because their tribe will all be teenagers, and we’ll have the infant. But, the plus side is that we’ll have built-in babysitters. Score.

Stella has the most beautiful eyes.

Joe & Jana, we love you guys and are lucky to have you in our lives. I can’t wait to do this again soon.
