Nursing School Graduation Portraits: Melanie Tcheng
I’m extremely proud to welcome a new nurse to our family! My sister Melanie graduated from nursing school at Arizona State Dec. 16, 2013, and I was honored to watch her walk across the stage. She was enrolled in the post-baccalaureate program, which basically means she squeezed two years of school into one. She busted her butt, worked insanely hard, and finished with a 4.0 GPA — earning her an invitation to Sigma Theta Tau, a nursing honor society.
Only a few years ago, I was on the stage and she was in the audience. Kinda cool to have graduated from the same college.
Since you can pretty much find beautiful light at all hours of the day in Arizona, we took a few portraits just outside the convention center with a pretty floral backdrop.
The proud parents with the new graduate.
I think this is the last graduation in our immediately family for a while, unless any of us decide to go back to school again! If anyone is looking to hire new RN grads, my sister is a kick ass candidate passionate about taking care of kids and making a difference. Patients and their families would be lucky to have her caring for them.
